Swedish Urban Living Lab at Brunnby Agricultural Days 2026

On 1 July, the Swedish Urban Living Lab (LL) had the pleasure of participating in Brunnby Agricultural Days (Lantbrukardagar), one of central Sweden’s largest meeting places for active farmers and professionals working in the green industries. The fair brings together farmers, researchers, advisors, companies, and innovators through demonstrations, seminars, exhibitions, and discussions on agriculture, cultivation, soil management, and sustainable land use.

As part of the iCOSHELLs project, we engaged with visitors to raise awareness about soil health and soil literacy. Our stand featured both a fun quiz and an expert-level quiz, designed to suit participants with different levels of knowledge and interest in soils.

It was inspiring to see so many people from young visitors to experienced farmers and agricultural professionals eager to test their knowledge, learn more about the vital role of healthy soils, and share their own experiences. The quizzes also provided valuable insights into public understanding of soil-related topics and helped us gather feedback to support our ongoing work on soil literacy.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, participated in the quizzes, and contributed to engaging conversations about the future of healthy and resilient soils.

Healthy soils are the foundation of sustainable agriculture, thriving urban environments, and a more sustainable future for all.
